Equal sides angle
Properties of an equal sides angle
Equal sides angle - is a cross section made of carbon steel, in the form of a right angle with both sides equal. It is also known as the profile L, angle joint, angle extension.
It consists of a good mechanical strength, it can be used riveted or welded and it can also be used as a joint between other elements.
The L profile is manufactured by a hot rolling process, having a right/sharp/corner angle. It is possible to make metallic and sheet metal angle by stamping. This process involves bending the sheet metal on an industrial press brake.
The equal sides angle is manufactured in various thicknesses of the sides, between 3 and 24 mm to be precise, the width of the sides at the angle having manufacturing sizes between 20 and 200 mm.
Applications of the equal sides angle:
- various metal parts and frames;
- metal stands, frames and chassis;
- parts and elements for equipment;
- gates and fences;
- transmission towers;
- lifting and transporting equipment;
- industrial ovens;
- storage shelves and containers;
- electrical line pillars.
