Every 2 years in Düsseldorf/Germany the international fair Tube and Wire 2022 takes place. It is the world’s leading trade fair for the pipe and wire processing industry. A fair with over 30 years of history. Machines, machinery, tools, equipment and accessories used from the manufacture of pipes to their molding into the final product are presented. For us, the part of interest was the Tube area.

In these complicated times from a geopolitical and economic point of view, being present at a world-renowned fair related to our field of activity is more than beneficial.

Being a complex event where the companies that matter in this field are present. This is the place where we can discover the latest technologies in the field of pipe manufacturing and processing industry, experts in the field, new contacts.

WHAT WE SAW AT LAtUBE AND WIRE 2022

Companies specialized in:

Manufacture of raw material for the production of pipes;

Manufacture of machines and equipment for the production of pipes;

Measurement and control technologies;

Trade in steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, nickel pipes, etc.;

Machines, equipment, tools for processing pipes – cutting, welding, bending;

Trade in pipe accessories – valves, flanges, bends, T’s, reducers, filters, flaps, etc.;

Cleaning products, processing, anti-corrosion coating, etc.;

Solutions and automations for storage and handling of pipes, semi-finished products and products made of pipes.

WHAT WAS DIFFERENT FROM PREVIOUS YEARS

This year, an important emphasis was placed on sustainability. Thus, the organizers designed a campaign called ecoMetals. Being meant to bring to the attention of visitors through special signage and guided tours, the stands of companies with sustainable production. These „green” companies have commitments to integrate the requirements for climate efficiency, sustainability and resource saving into the production process.

WHAT PERSONAL CONCLUSIONS DO WE HAVE

Tube and Wire Düsseldorf still remains the world’s leading trade fair for professionals in the field.

It was a very good fair, in which we discovered new things. Also, new people, new products, new methods of pipe processing, in short, it was worth it from our point of view.

From one edition to another, for the players in the field, the production of green steel becomes more and more important. Companies look at this aspect very responsibly. And they are striving to achieve climate neutrality goals in terms of the environmental impact of their work.

These complicated times are also reflected in the interaction between exhibitors and visitors. The war in Ukraine, the humanitarian crisis and the economic crisis are topics addressed at the fair.

From the discussions we had, there is a lack of predictability, the questions that are asked refer to the duration of this situation. But also how it will affect the activity of companies in the field.
