H Metal delivered 12,000 pieces of 25 mm rolled round steel blanks.

The pieces of round steel were buried in concrete. Each piece of steel was protected on half the length with plastic.

After the pouring, the joint was cut exactly in the middle of the gouges.

In the field of construction, the term gujon refers to the steel bar placed parallel to the axis of the road, to the transverse expansion joints of the slabs of a vibrated concrete coating.

A concrete slab remains to adhere to the half that is not protected with plastic. While, the other concrete slab does not adhere to the metal due to the plastic that makes a „sheath” effect. Thus, allowing the play of the tiles, that is, the purpose remains functional.

Sectioning a concrete surface at a certain elevation, in specific terms, is known as expansion joint.

The lack of expansion joints, or their imprecise installation, will soon lead to the deterioration of the poured concrete surfaces.

The purpose of these expansion joints is to allow relatively small segments of the screeds or poured concrete slabs to move with the ground.
