Salzgitter and Mendritzki have entered into a partnership for the production of green steel

Building on their long-standing business relationship, Salzgitter AG and Mendritzki Holding GmbH & Co. KG have signed an innovative partnership agreement in the reduced CO2 emissions steel products.

The Salzgitter Group’s partnership program offers companies the opportunity to secure a defined tonnage of green steel in advance.

It is to be produced from the end of 2025 as part of SALCOS® – Low Carbon Footprint SAlzgitter Steel Production. Both companies intend to cooperate in the advancement and refinement of the development of steel grades.

As a leading company in the cold rolling industry, the Mendritzki Group is a key customer of Salzgitter AG. As a result, Mendritzki expects its suppliers to deliver high-quality materials.

Both companies achieve the highest standards not only in terms of quality. But also, above all, in sustainable production. In the field of CO2 reduction in steel production and processing, the two companies share a common goal of occupying leading positions.
