C-type lifting hook made of Heb 220 steel profiles

One of Prolift’s orders for H Metal was for Profile HEB 220 steel profiles. These profiles were used to make 5 ton C-type hooks.

Prolift is one of the most complete brands in Romania in terms of lifting systems. The products distributed and/or manufactured by them have all the approvals or certificates to be used in the maritime, industrial, civil or industrial construction fields.

Type C hooks are used for lifting and transporting heavy cylindrical parts such as: sheet metal rolls, wire coils, paper rolls, etc. They can be made according to the customer’s request – customized dimensions and workloads.

This model of hooks are a very resistant lifting accessory, due to the material from which they are made, namely, carbon steel. This material guarantees the hooks high strength and resistance to loaded weight.

The lifting technique is a field in which safety is the main standards for carrying out the activity, and the use of the highest quality materials is mandatory.

Profile HEB 220 steel – advantages and use

This profile is manufactured by the hot rolling process, with the cross-section of the letter H, with equal wings.

Among the ADVANTAGES of the HEB profile we can list:

• resistance to weight and stress;
• resistance to bending forces according to the hard axis of the section;
• properly treated, it gives greater resistance to atmospheric agents.

The HEB profile has a wide area of use in the construction of various metal elements.
