Construction of a metal fire escape

At the request of a customer, H Metal delivered metallurgical profiles to make a metal fire escape.

As we know, the fire/evacuation ladder is a vital „accessory” to any construction, whether it is a housing complex or office buildings, being built, usually, from steel products.

This type of stairs are placed outside the building, so that they remain smoke-free as much as possible: in fact, asphyxiation and poisoning with poisonous gases are the most important causes of death in case of fire.

However, the fire/evacuation stairs can also be built inside the building: they are introduced into buildings through appropriate technical devices that allow ventilation and smoke evacuation.

In the field of metal constructions, great importance is given to fire/evacuation stairs that can be made in different shapes. It is essential that these are made with metal products of the best quality.

Metal fire escape – Materials used

Delivered products for the fire escape:

• Square pipe 30 x 30 x 2 mm, steel quality S235JRH, metal pipe length 6000 mm;
• Square pipe 140 x 140 x 5 mm, steel quality S235JRH, metal pipe length 6000 mm;
• Corner laminated metal profiles 40 x 40 x 3 mm, steel quality S235JR, metal profile length 6000 mm;
• Square pipe 120 x 120 x 4 mm, steel quality S235JRH, metal pipe length 6000 mm;
• Corner laminated metal profiles 100 x 100 x 10 mm, steel quality S235JR, metal profile length 6000 mm;
• Laminated steel metal profiles 100 x 10 mm wide, steel quality S235JR, metal profile length 6000 mm;
• Teardrop pattern corrugated sheet, corrugated sheet thickness 5 x 1500 x 6000 mm, steel quality S235.

After the fire/escape ladder was assembled, it was treated by the painting process to protect it from corrosion.
