Galvanized elements for tram line reinforcement

In the public transport modernization project, H Metal executed galvanized elements for the reinforcement of the tram line. The project involves the modernization of electric public transport and the arrangement of public transport infrastructure.

H METAL, supplied for this project the product called Antretoaza, the quantity ordered / executed and delivered being 2400 pieces.

The product was made according to the specifications of the project, made of seamless pipe with an external diameter of 48.3 and a wall thickness of 4.00 mm.

WHAT ARE THE PRODUCTS MADE BY US USED FOR?

Galvanized pipes are used in the concrete part under the raceway for reinforcement, so the concrete does not crack. The cracks in the concrete lead to the deformation of the rails, making the movement of the wagons cumbersome and being a cause of derailments.

PREPARATION AND MANUFACTURE OF GALVANIZED ELEMENTS FOR REINFORCEMENT

The execution of these galvanized elements for reinforcement meant the cutting of the entire pipe to the requested length, namely 1700 mm and the preparation for galvanizing.

The seamless pipe is manufactured non-galvanized, it can be galvanized later by immersion in a bath of molten zinc. Through this process, the pipe acquires a protective layer of zinc both inside and outside.

In order to be inserted in molten zinc, the pipes are drilled at one end with a 6-8 mm diameter drill. This technical hole is necessary for attaching / hanging the products with wire from the diving hooks. The clamping system is valid for all galvanized elements, so that they can be coated in the molten zinc bath. For thermal galvanizing, products up to 3 meters long have a single hole, at one end. Products longer than 3 meters will have 2 holes, at both ends, given a few cm from the end.

A FINAL GOOD CHALLENGE IN THE REALIZATION OF THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE

I had several challenges when executing this order. We were selected from several suppliers and the beneficiary had some conditions that we had to meet. Starting from the quality of the executed product, the budget and the execution deadline was one of the important criteria.

At such works/construction sites it is very important for the beneficiary to receive the ordered products at the right time. The works related to public transport, the lack of synchronization between the partners leads to the difficulty and delay of the works.

Large quantities of materials must arrive at the site within the time frame established by mutual agreement by contract. If the products arrive earlier, they unnecessarily block the construction site, which makes the activity difficult. If the products arrive later, it can lead to the interruption of the activity due to lack of materials.

So when all the details are clearly established by contract, things have to happen. That is why it was also a challenge for us, to execute the products in the specifications desired by the customer and on time. It is more difficult to schedule a production process that spans several weeks, unforeseen situations may arise. Syncope may occur in supply, processing, delivery, etc. That is why we are always ready with solutions to be able to complete the assumed projects. We are responsible in what we promise and we promise only what we can assume and carry out.
