Steel materials for the metal roof structure

With materials delivered by H Metal, a roofedmetal structure for storage spaces was built in Nanterre/FRANCE. This project involved the creation of electrically operated sliding hatches in order to optimally cover the storage spaces, but also to uncover them when needed, almost completely, by overlapping the hatches. The total area that was covered is 1380 square meters.

In order to reduce the losses that would result as a result of using the products in the standard manufacturing lengths. Some of the products were manufactured to atypical lengths, according to the project. Given that in the project the joining of arcs by welding was prohibited. The only option would have been to use a standard 12 meter long pipe from which the 9 meter part required for the project should be cut, the remaining 3 meters thus becoming a loss. Thanks to the very good partnerships we have with various manufacturers, we managed to manufacture and deliver this pipe in a short time, thus reducing the loss of about 33% that would have resulted from using standard lengths.

As part of this project, the following materials were delivered:

• Rectangular profile steel pipe 60 x 40 x 3.00 x 9000 mm, quality S235. The pipe that was bent and from which the supporting arches were made;
• Steel pipe rectangular profile 80 x 40 x 3.00 x 6000 mm, quality S235,
• Laminated corner 50 x 50 x 5.00 x 6000 mm, quality S235;
• Square profile steel pipe 40 x 40 x 3.00 x 6000 mm, quality S235;
• Laminated corner 100 x 100 x 10.00 x 12000 mm, quality S235;
• Metal pipe rectangular profile 60 x 40 x 3.00 x 12000 mm, quality S235;
• Metal profile IPE 180 x 12100 mm, quality S275;
• Square profile steel pipe 20 x 20 x 1.50 x 6000 mm, quality S235;
• Metal profile HEA 200 x 12100 mm, quality S275.
