At the request of one of our clients, H Metal made a concrete beam test frame. Being made with the best quality metal products.
In this metal frame, a concrete beam is placed on which, with the help of a hydraulic press, a force of 1000 KN is applied, creating tensiometric marks. If the beam withstands this test, it will be accepted for use.
The concrete beam test frame is composed of 2 pillars, with a height of 5 m. They are made of Heb 400 mm profile, steel quality S355 JR.
Between the two pillars, a 400 mm HEB Europrofile beam was welded, using the superbaz electrode welding process.
This type of metal profiles are intended for large metal constructions. And their special shape makes them have an increased resistance to weight and mechanical efforts.
Each of the two pillars is placed on a metal casing embedded in concrete. From which some 30 metric bolts come out. The posts are fixed by these bolts with M30 washer and nut with strength group 8.8.
For the base plate of the pillars we used 40 mm black sheet, quality S355 JR, and the gussets for stiffening the pillars were made of 15 mm black sheet – S355 JR.
The S355 JR quality class refers to steel with a yield strength of 355 N/mm2. It has a minimum breaking energy of 27 J at +20ºC.
The connection between the base plate, stiffeners and pillars was made by electric welding with superbaz electrodes.
The entire metal assembly is covered with anti-corrosive primer, applied in two layers.
This metal structure also includes a metal beam made of Heb 400 mm profile, with a length of 7 m.
H Metal delivers metallurgical products to order, throughout Romania as well as the territory of the European Union.
