Modernization of access roads to the stadium with galvanized sheet metal

In the process of modernizing the access roads of a stadium, corrugated galvanized sheet was used. FC Voluntari has modernized its stadium in order to meet the conditions for participation in League 1.

The access road to a stadium is represented by stairs and closed passages, which allow spectators access to the desired place.

The staircase is a construction element, composed of steps, platforms and railings. It is used for access, between the floors of a building and its exterior.

When the placement of the stairs is done outside, the best choice is the stairs with steps and platforms made of corrugated sheet covered with a protective layer of zinc.

The steps are functional elements of the staircase, which ensure its proper functioning to the users.

Podestas are horizontal platforms arranged along a staircase for rest and to provide access inside the buildings.

Galvanized corrugated sheet – advantages and characteristics

According to the customer’s request, 3 mm corrugated galvanized sheet was delivered to replace the steps and landings.

The corrugated galvanized sheet supplied by H Metal for the construction of these steps and platforms was processed (cut to the desired dimensions) before galvanizing so as not to affect the zinc layer.

The use of corrugated steel sheet has the following advantages:

– slip resistance;

– good wear capacity;

– self-draining surface.

Corrugated sheet, due to its prominent texture, is a material often used for the execution of stairs and access roads, as well as for shipbuilding, automobiles, railway transport, etc.

Applying a zinc layer is one of the most efficient and economical methods of protecting steel when it is used outdoors. The thicker the zinc layer, the greater the corrosion resistance.
